As part of our ongoing documentary series, The Maker’s Story, I explored the creative journey of Sydney-based custom hat maker Dave Robledo, founder of BxmBxm (pronounced BamBam). This mini visual storytelling piece dives deep into Dave’s process, passion, and the accidental yet transformative beginnings of his brand.

The story unfolds with the cathartic transformation of a simple hat gifted to Dave by an ex-girlfriend. After tearing, burning, stitching, and repurposing the hat, Dave unknowingly birthed a brand that resonates with individuality and personal expression.
